Good Run! Although next time I need to layoff the Jingle Juice at the night before Christmas Party. I was hurting, just glad the run was at 2pm and not 9am!

Does anything actually work well in covering your face to keep your lungs from burning?
Also, I thought it was amazing that Garrett Gress, the 14 y/o boy, ran most of the race without one shoe. I asked him what happened during the race and he said it just fell off. I didn't think at the time but I wish I had tried to get him to stop and put it back on since he would have easily made up the time and not risk injury. I hope he is fine.
One more thing and I know it is asking a lot since it was already well organized. Last year they had an entire shelter enclosed with plastic and also heating devices. It definitely made for a much better post-race and kept people around longer.

I was amazed by Garret for running the race and carrying his shoe! That guy looked tough at the finish! As for wrapping the shelter, we were kindly asked by the Village of Barboursville to never-ever do that again! They had an problem with us putting staples in the wood support beams. This is OK as they still put a lot of work and effort into making sure the course is clear! Thanks to everyone for coming out on such a cold day! I hope you had a great time!
